One Young World Japan is greatly saddened by the news of the death of a young Burmese woman who was shot by a gun during the anti-coup protests. As an organization that believes in the power of youth, we believe that young voices should be valued, cherished and most of all – heard.

We strongly condemn the ongoing violence of the Tatmadaw (armed forces of Myanmar) and hope others will join us in raising their voices alongside that of the youth of Burma in protesting the coup.
