June 1, 2024 – Tokyo, Japan
One Young World Japan will host its annual “Student Pitch” event for students under the age of 18 in Japan. 8 speakers will be selected from SDG-related projects submitted from all over Japan. Each student will give a 5-minute presentation in English about the world they aim to achieve, and their future plans.
One Young World (OYW) is one of the world’s largest international platforms gathering more than 2,000 young leaders from 196 countries around the world and has been holding annual summits in different countries since 2009. This year’s summit will be held in Montréal, Canada.
The Global Summit is held once a year for next-generation leaders between the ages of 18 and 32 but, the One Junior World Student Pitch is for those under 18 who have not yet reached the legal age of participation in the Summit. The purpose of this event is to provide the next generation of leaders under the age of 18 with a global stage to develop the mindset, presentation skills, communication skills, and English language ability necessary for future success beyond national borders. The event will be streamed live on the Internet again this year.
