OYW Japan Committee has entered into a global partnership with Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. to become the first corporate “Host City Partner” for One Young World Tokyo 2022. Through this partnership, OYW Japan and Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. will lead the development of next-generation leaders in Japan and contribute to the realization of a better, brighter future.

One Young World (OYW) is the world’s largest international platform for next-generation leaders, holding annual summits in various countries around the world. The annual summit brings together more than 2,000 next-generation leaders from over 190 countries around the world to share SDG-related initiatives, expand networks, and create cross-country collaborations. The upcoming summit will be held in Tokyo in May 2022 with the support of Tokyo Governor, Yuriko Koike, and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB).

Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. is committed to “building value together with all stakeholders” as part of its “Asahi Group Philosophy (AGP)”. Through the AGP, they are strengthening their sustainability initiatives to realize a healthier, more prosperous society. In the mid-term plan to materialize AGP, they have set “expanding ESG initiatives” as one of their mid-term management policies, and the entire group is working together to address issues facing the world, such as climate change and human rights.
