Global Leadership Camp

In March 2027, a five-day challenge centered on the themes of “regional industry, global perspective, and Global leadership” will kick off at Akita International University (AIU).

Together with peers from across the country, you will confront the realities facing the local community and devise solutions through fieldwork and dialogue with experts. On the final day, you will present the ideas developed by your team in English.

Additionally, through lectures by AIU faculty and interactions with entrepreneurs and One Young World (OYW) Ambassadors, you can gain practical experience in developing problem-identification skills and leadership.

The venue, AIU, is one of Japan’s leading global campuses, boasting partnerships with over 200 universities worldwide. Spending five days there alongside peers from across the country promises to be a special opportunity to significantly broaden your horizons and expand the possibilities for your future.

5 Amazing Days

The GLC (Global Leadership Camp) is a leadership program for high school students held in collaboration with “One Young World”—one of the world’s largest communities for next-generation leaders—and Akita International University (AIU), a university renowned for its leadership in global education.

You will expand your potential and future options through dialogues with entrepreneurs, researchers, and OYW Ambassadors active on the front lines of social issues, as well as through project activities with peers gathering from across the country.

Speakers & Mentors

Mentors will provide full support throughout this five-day challenge. You will receive advice on your project and have time to discuss your career path and future; connecting with mentors who bring a wide range of experiences to greatly expand your horizons.
